AI-1 Analog Input - 8 channel

Features:

The analog input - 8 channel module for the Series II Remote Terminal Unit provides eight input channels, each capable of converting an analog input signal to a digital signal for use as required by your application.

The AI-1 Analog module provides two input ranges. The default range is 4 to 20mA with user data scaled so that 4μA corresponds to a count of 0 and 20mA corresponds to a count of 32760 with each 1000 counts representing 0.5mA. A link on the rear of the module selects 4-20mA or 0-20mA for all channels.

Input protection for the module is sufficient to guarantee operation with reduced performance with up to 1500V common-mode. The module provides electrical isolation of externally generated noise between field wiring and the backplane through the use of optical isolation.
